Remove the Internet Explorer Content Advisor Password

ProblemThe Content Advisor in Internet Explorer is a fine example of good intentions sometimes leading to undesirable consequences. As we surf the Web under the watchful Content Advisor's eye, there will likely come a point where the restrictions imposed will become undesirable, even if only temporarily. However, users wanting to disable the Content Advisor will sometimes find themselves barred from making changes because they have forgotten the required password. This can be irritating as content advisor often does not allow some of the normal pages like yahoo,hotmail to load. Fortunately, this annoying little problem can be solved quickly with a Windows Registry edit. This is also helpful for guys who want to bypass the content advisor password set by their parents or supervisors!!..


Solution

Edit the correct Windows Registry key.
Warning: Unexperienced uses may make a back up of their registry or make a system restore point before editing their registry or follow the solution xactly....

1. Open regedit.exe (usually performed via the Run command, start>run>regedit.exe).

2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Policies

3. Click on Ratings

4. Delete the listing named KEY. Leave the other entries alone.

5. Close regedit and restart. Keep in mind that the content adviser is still enabled, but you can create a new password to disable it.
